Proved To Have a Single Name is Hard

My name is Iwan only, no last name. Since long time I thought that having a single name is more simple than having a long name. Try imagine my name it is only 4 letters "IWAN". Very simple right? Although only 4 letter name is a gift from my parents, so wherever I go I always carried it.
Problems then emerged.
I followed some online businesses such as PTR, PPC, PTC and others. From some businesses that I follow I have produced some of the accumulated dollars in my Paypal account. And here's the problem. When registering at Paypal I put my father's name as a last name, hoping someday I can edit it as they pleased me. Then I found out Paypal does not allow changing the name back. Paypal only allows us to change the name for such a small error of 1 letter or letters excess. Then I sent an objection to the Paypal as follows:

'Indonesia  is  very  common  in  the  name  of  only  1
word,  no  last  name.  How  Paypal  taking  this?  My  name  is  Iwan  only.  I
signed  up  with  the  name  of  the  father  as  a  last  name  because  when  i
register  there  is  no  option  to  register  without  a  last  name.  I'm  afraid
it  will  cause  problems  in  the  future.  I  want  to  get  this  solution  before
my  account  to  be  verified.  Thank  you  for  your  attention.  I  am  waiting
for  an  answer  as  soon  as  possible.  I've  sent  a  scan  of  identity  cards  to
support  my  request.'

Then i got replies like this

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.

We have received your request and understand that you want to change
name to a single name, which is 'Iwan'.

However, generally speaking, user has to enter his first name and last
name when he registers PayPal account. If there is no last name, you are
unable to register. But if you use an invalid last name and once you
withdraw, funds will be reversed by your bank issuer due to incorrect
name.

There are some options for you to update your name in PayPal for
reference:

1. You may negotiate with your bank to seek there is any way to change
it. For example, from 'Iwan'to “'Iwan Iwan'or add "," as last name and
'Iwan' as first name.

2.We may change your name to Mr. Iwan or Ms. Iwan. Then your first name
would be “Mr.” or “Ms” and last name would be “Iwan”. You should also
contact your bank whether it is acceptable to receive funds.

Please kindly negotiate with your bank and reply us to confirm the new
name that you want to change to with the following information. Sorry
that we can not change your name to a single name, and actually, the
name registered in PayPal will only affect your withdrawal but not
affect your payment sent to others.

I was negotiated with my bank.. Now my name in Paypal was changed.. hehe
